PACT's One Village Care In South Etobicoke

Etobicoke, One Village Care, PACT, South Etobicoke 0 comments

PACT's One Village Care is a South Etobicoke community awareness and engagement initiative designed to identify and address the fundamental social issues that prohibits our growth as a community.
        These issues include:
        • at-risk youth
        • poverty
        • social neglect
        • environmental sustainability

In partnership with our community, PACT's One Village Care Initiative seeks to build the most innovative and effective social delivery programs that help build a sustainable model for social change.
PACT’s One Village Care Initiative is a Call-To-Action for South Etobicoke to gather around the table, and help define the common language that promotes our growth as a community.

By providing community members with the ability to think freely and talk openly, we can begin to address the fundamental social issues we seek to change. Only by
understanding what we have in common, as a community, can we begin to produce a cycle of empowered and socially integrated individuals and families

Let the power of one become the power of many.

    What is a FUN Neighbourhood?

Neighbours communicate with regular get togethers, playdates, conversations, e-mails, community meetings and at local events such as garage sales, parks, community parties, local restaurants, school functions and more.

Neighbours know what resources are available to them through communication with local community groups, local government and other organizations (daycares, recreation centres, libraries etc). Neighbours are advocates to ensure adequate resources exist and they make a point of sharing what is available in their neighbourhoods.

Local government and neighbours promote and participate in active lifestyles and protect the outdoor environments that provide these opportunities.

Neighbourhood members work to have greater access to trails, open spaces and other active living resources.

Fun neighbourhoods celebrate diversities and artistic pursuits.
